Sunday 17 August 2008 from 12 noon
Nearly there now. The weather forecast is a bit iffy to say the least but we are making contingency plans. The stallholders and entertainers will be under cover as far as possible, and there should be no problem feeding the masses (see the menu below).
I still have space for more stalls and anybody who wants to come along and entertain us will be very welcome. DJ Lewis will keep us warm!
Competitions to raise much-needed funds for the charity will include a raffle (first prize £2,000) and the opportunity to win six bottles of Philippe Bruton NV champagne. Ask about these in The White Horse and/or be approached by someone trying to interest you ...
PANANG GAI (Malaysian chicken curry), GAENG KHIAO WAN GAI (Thai green chicken curry), GAENG LIANG (Thai red vegetable curry), all served with a coconut sambal and fragrant rice.
£5 per serving
From the barbecue: Home made burger or Braughing sausage in a bun or baguette.
£1.50 single or £2.50 double
Afternoon teas (with, I believe, cake!!) are also avaiable.
Contact me (see email address above) if you are willing to help sponsor the event, organise a stall, do a turn, or become a "Friend of the Castle Street Party".
